While my Hilton bookings track consistently, Hilton routinely denies every claim and pays out nothing in the end.

Please read!
I made the regrettable mistake of booking Hilton through Topcashback despite all the 1-star reviews. I followed all the instructions carefully and booked a stay more than $1000 but was given $0 cash back even after disputing it with Hilton. For the dispute, Topcashback will escalate to Hilton, who will reject the claim and give you a generic response about how the booking is not eligible for cash back, then close the dispute window. I strongly recommend not to book Hilton and look somewhere else for your stay.

Hilton never pays what it owes you
The cash back will track as zero. After the stay, even if you used no discounts, you will still get paid nothing.

Hilton never pays cash back!
Hilton Hotels doesn't pay even if you don't use discount codes. Reservations sometimes track at 0 but never pay. Even when it shows an amount (rarely), it is denied many months after the reservation. I have lost at least $200 from unpaid cash back.

No longer viable
Used to track fine. But, since May 2025 Tracks then CB is denied. Missed out on CB for over $2700 multiple Hilton Stays (following all the rules). I travel often and the Missing CB issues have led me to use my Bank Cards and so far ALL the rewards posted and ZERO missing/denied.

used to be able to earn on hilton stay, not anymore
Now only Blue (New) Member Completed Booking can earn cashback. If you don't want my business then I'll go somewhere else that wants my business and pays for it! I make more staying at the other brand (who offers 12%), no strings attached to membership level. Hilton isn't as transparent either when it come to the transaction process. The other brand, I know what i getting in return in just a few hours of booking. Hilton, I have to bug Cashback reps for info, only to find out they (Hilton) changed their way of settling up and I'm SOL on the recourse after a few months of waiting for the process to be completed. I like some of the Hilton hotels, but when it comes down right to it, I'm going where the money is and is transparent!

You can try with only last minute stays
>Cash back queries on any Qualified Bookings for which the check-out dates are over six months old from the query date, will no longer be commissionable. The query date means the click date. I clicked and booked for months in advance. TCB also say it's normal the amount says 0 after booking. At the time of my stay, TCB term said to wait for 12 weeks to post. It sure didn't. TCB support said I should've filed within 6mo of clicks. That means it's only worth trying if your stays happen soon after clicks/booking. The new terms excludes any elites with Hilton, I won't bother with TCB.

I don't use the word "scam" lightly but...yeah, this is a scam.
Joining the growing list of disappointed reviews, I have never had success getting cash back from Hilton purchases despite following the directions to a T. Unlike other purchases that almost always show up as pending cash back within minutes of purchase (including other hotel chains like Marriott) and pay out within the time indicated, Hilton never shows up and I have to open a case. Then, after waiting months for a response, I'm told that the "transaction cannot be traced" but that I could provide "alternative references" to move the case forward. When I inquire on what specifically that would entail, I am then unhelpfully told that "[the] resolution like this is not one that [TopCashback] can reverse," contradicting the earlier message that there might be more that I could do to rectify the issue.

The claims process can be lengthy depending on when the retailer investigates the transaction, comes to a conclusion and shares that conclusion with us. When we receive a conclusion of "the transaction cannot be traced," that means that Hilton wasn't able to tie your transaction to TopCashback. This can happen if another coupon and/or cash back site was used after you clicked through TopCashback, or you had an ad-blocker on, or you made your transaction in another tab that wasn't the original tab. If you feel that you didn't do any of those things, then we can try to see if we can appeal Hilton's decision with evidence. Much better now
Has been a pain for years, but recently received multiple payments from TCB for Hilton stays. Took a long time to have them go to payable, but they did. Could be smoother/faster, but as long as it pays in the end - I'll take it

Never pays
Out of 5 different bookings I've made with Hilton through TopCashback, none have gone through. All my claims were rejected as "non-commissionable", despite Hilton reps confirming to me that the orders ARE commissionable. Ridiculous and deceiving practices

... of people not receiving their Hilton CashBack. I thought I did it right - start with TCB. Click thorough to Hilton.com. Start the transaction from zero. Choose a confirmed Brand (Hilton Resort). Add to cart. Don't use a special rate. Complete transaction. Wait three months. Final result - $0.00 Confirmed. Lost out on 4% of $576.

None of my bookings have been tracked. From what I can see in the reviews it seems like a wide issue. You should really fix this or remove Hilton entirely. This is just a bad experience.

Never ever tracks
Never tracked in my 10+ bookings. Topcashback agents are not helpful with this, and couldn't be bothered anyway even with all the reviews. Could not even attach or link video proof of me clicking through and following all the steps in the submit missing claim form. See below, everyone who submits a missing claim gets denied anyway by Hilton - what's the point? I would give 0 stars if I could. Marriott and IHG track and pay out without issues.

Worst for cashback, never paid out
More than 5 stay I used via TCB and never appeared at cashback list. I reported from missing cashback and no update more than 6 months. Never ever use Hilton for cashback.

Hilton Cashback is a SCAM
Claims always denied. Hundreds upon hundreds of dollars unpaid. As a Hilton Diamond member who spends around $20,000 annually with Hilton, this will be my last stay with them and I'll be switching to a competitor.

Great merchant, cashback takes forever
Takes a REALLY long time to get the cashback. Hotels should ideally be a few weeks since the stay was done and there is no returns/chargebacks possibility.

Always denies claims
We have stayed at Hilton several times and always followed the TopCashBack procedures to ensure our reservations were tracked. However, every time we have to submit a missing cashback claim, and Hilton always denies the claims no matter what. Sad.
