Every year after opening our presents, we would suddenly remember that we weren't done yet and race to get our stockings!

My favorite Christmas memory is when my parents were still together. My mom came to wake me and my four sisters up with breakfast. I still remember.. Gingerbread shaped pancakes with Strawberries, sausage & Hash browns. That year, my parents could afford to put everyone atleast one present under the tree. Mine was a ring with my birthstone in it; I absolutely loved it. All of my sisters loved their presents. It was the best Christmas I can remember, and the last one all of us were together. The holidays haven't been the same since.

The first Christmas I spent at home after going away to college was also the first time I was able to surprise my master chef dad with how well I pulled off the ham we had for dinner. Teaching me to cook well and sustain myself on something more healthy than dorm food is one of the greatest gifts he's ever given me, and feeling like i'd done him proud made that Christmas for me.

My favorite Holiday memory is growing up catching my parents wrapping last minute gifts for my brother and i. Finding out who Santa really was hilarious! :) I can remember my mom saying these are gifts Santa didn't have time to wrap. Really mom? I just acted like I believed her!

One of my great uncles dressing up as Santa to bring us gifts when we were little. He was not a "jolly" type of person so none of us suspected who this Santa was. It wasn't until years later we were told it was him and we all couldn't believe it...To say we were surprised was an understatement as we knew he was just not the type of person who would be willing to play Santa..Or so we thought. It still is a treasured memory to this day.

I recall opening a CHristmas stocking on my own first thing in the morning and then dashing down to see if Santa had come. We'd leave out cookies and a drink for him as a snack the night before and there was usually a thank-you note. The anticipation of the day was delicious.

Favorite Christmases had to be when the kids were young. Just watching the joy and excitement as they opened their Christmas gifts. As much as I enjoyed it so many years earlier being that child, being able to give your own child those same kind of memories was so much more enjoyable.

My favorite holiday memory is when my boyfriend hid a small jewelry box in the dirt under a bush out side our apartment window so I wouldn't find it in our apartment. He'd planned to dig it back up later to give it to me for Christmas. But a squirrel that we fed out of our window everyday as an outside only pet situation dug it up, brought it to the window and gave it to me when I was feeding it one day.

Where I was from, Christmas is not one of traditional holidays. My dad is a Christian so when I was little, my dad would give us some little stuff in the socks by our bed on Christmas eve. That's my memory of Christmas from childhood. My dad brought Christmas spirit to my life.
I have always love Christmas because of the warm atmosphere. It is the most important day of the year, more important than the birthdays, anniversary...Etc.
I love Christmas.

My favorite Christmases were as a child. Dad always got our tree Christmas Eve Day and we decorated Christmas Eve. After it was all decorated, Dad would plug in the tree's lights and we would spend time just looking at it in Christmas awe. Really loved the star topper that had a light and a colored cylinder that would spin causing a kaleidoscope of colors all over the ceiling and walls.

I love just spending the majority of our day in our jammies. Kids ripping through presents, my husband and I with coffee watching ... We open our gifts after the kids are off playing with whatever new thing is the best. I make something easy but super yummy. It's easy and delish and everyone in my family loves a fancy treat for Christmas Morning!

There are several favorites but the one I would have to pick was when I was 9. My mother went to work part-time in the evenings so we could have a Christmas. I helped my mother by keeping the house clean and dishes washed. Because I had done this without being asked, my mother gave me a white powder puff rabbit from Avon. I was so proud of the bunny that I kept it for many years until it was lost in a fire. I will remember that Christmas forever because of the sacrifice my mother made so my brothers and I could have Christmas.

My favorite most memorable holiday memory is when I was 12yrs. Old and we had a huge snow storm the day before Christmas eve. The whole family got together and went sledding all day. It was an amazing day, no one cared about gifts, just laughing making memories. I wish every Christmas could be like that.

My favorite Christmas memory was when our 3 children got creative and made their own outfits cut out from construction paper and put on a play & Caroling for the family in front of the Christmas tree. It is such a fond memory for us, I wish I could have them small again <3 I always had wished I had a camcorder when they was growing up and never got one but ill always have that memory and hold it close to my heart. It was priceless and will be cherished forever.

My favorite Christmas memory is of Christmas Day at my Granny’S. We would all get together and eat and play games, exchange gifts. So much food! Granny passed away just shy of 13 years ago but her birthday was also Christmas Day, so we always have that reminder. At first it was hard to be happy and cheerful, but I knew she wouldn’T want me to be a Scrooge in front of my kids. We take the time to honor her memory at some point during our get together.

The year was 2005 and my grandfather had bought the perfect gift for my sister and i, a gift that not even my parents knew about. We went out to the garage to unwrap our gift and found a two person go-kart! How awesome was that?!? To drive around our neighborhood and backyard (maybe a bit too small) but doable! We were going to be the coolest kids in the neighborhood!! So of course my sister and I grab our coats and shoes while still in our pjs and jump into the go-kart. I start driving the go-kart in the backyard with my sister sitting next to me screaming with delight. Seconds later those screams of joy turn into screams of fear as our parents start yelling the go-kart has caught on fire! We jump out quickly and rush to put the fire out with an extinguisher. That was the first and last time we ever rode our go-kart. Poppy sure did know how to win with the presents!

My favorite memory is the year that my brother got a pony for Christmas from Santa. We had an old pony that died a couple of weeks before Christmas and my brother was heartbroken. On Christmas morning we came downstairs to find a note from Santa that said he knew my brother wanted a train set but he'd seen how sad he was and he got him something he thought he needed more. We all ran out to the back porch barefooted to find a paint pony in the back yard.

My favorite Christmas memory goes back to when I was about 6 and my brothers were 5 and 3. We believed in Santa but it was a mystery about how he got into our house since we didn't have a chimney. My parents said that they left the front door unlocked so Santa could walk in to deliver our presents. That year, we were in our PJs and watching a Christmas special on tv. Suddenly, we heard a knock on the front bay window! It was santa - it really was and he was on our front porch! We ran as fast as we could to bed and hid under the covers so Santa could come and leave our presents! Our belief that Santa came through the front door was etched in our minds forever! "Santa" was the neighbor who had dressed up as Santa for a party and decided to make a few "stops" before heading out to "deliver" the presents. Now I tell that story to my 6 year old grandson who truly "believes" in Santa!

I'm 35yo now. But I remember when I was 5yrs and after being told I could not have anything to eat until all the guest hit to Christmas dinner. I snuck in the kitchen and grabs a whole Turkey leg, screaming a victory cry all the way to my room and all the men in the living room were speechless... So... I still get the leg every year (:

My favorite memories are as kids my cousins and I would go to my grandparent's house, we'd all gather and watch the Christmas Classics while my mom, aunt and granny would bake. They would make all kinds of cookies, candies and fudge. It was the greatest time of my life and I had no idea at the time how much those years of gatherings would mean.

My favorite holiday memory was basically my family's yearly tradition. I have a large family so we always split into my mom's side of the family and my dad's side of the family. That meant that we would open presents with my dad's side, then my moms side, and then still go home and open our main presents. I loved having that because it felt like you were getting 3x the gifts and we were able to be with all of our family.

My most memorable Christmas, I was 5 and my sister was 4. We had been begging our parents for a real Christmas tree for years. My father work in the sewers of Maryland and didn't get home some nights until after 12 midnight. For some reason on this night for some strange reason we where hearing so much commotion in the living room, because we knew it was Christmas Eve. We just fell back to sleep so we could get up really early. When we awoke that morning, there had to be about a 10 foot tree in our living room fulling decorated, and bent in the top with a star dangling from it because it was too tall for our 1 bed room Apartment, fully stocked with every toy we wanted and 2 matching bikes, There were pine needles everywhere. This was the Christmas I will never forget and tell my kids and Grandchildren today!

All of my 5 siblings and I sleep together in the same room on Christmas Eve. No one can go out Christmas morning until everyone is ready. We've been doing this since we were very little, and we're still doing it in our 20s and including new spouses! As the oldest, I was surprisingly almost always the first awake and ready to go out for presents! With this money I would be able to get great gifts for my siblings to celebrate the love and traditions we've shared for so many years.

My favorite memories are of Christmas as a kid. We would wake up to a living room full of gifts, then after we finished opening them and eating breakfast we would visit our two closest aunt's houses to exchange gifts. For dinner we would travel to another aunt and uncle's house where we would celebrate with grandparents too, and then we would leave dinner and travel 3 hours to our other grandparent's house where we would spend the night and wake up to more wonderful christmas gift exchanges with grandparents another aunt and uncle and many cousins! It was so much fun although it was a crazy busy day. I enjoyed every second of it!

The very first year my husband and I moved in together, that Christmas we didn't have a whole lot. We were living in 2 bedroom apartment with 4 kids. I bought a dollar store tree and some ornaments. We spent all night laughing a putting up our little Charlie Brown tree. Come Christmas, the kids didn't have a lot to open. Maybe two presents a piece. That year, those kids decided whatever they got they wanted to donate to the shelter, so a child that didn't have a family, or a home, could still have Christmas. Was the greatest moment of my life, to know my kids thought of others before themselves.
Merry Christmas Everyone!!

I'd been admitted to the hospital, and was prepared to be thoroughly grumpy, since it was going to be my first holiday officially engaged, and we had planned to spend it with both our families. He had proven amazingly supportive through all the medical messes that made up my life in the eight+ Years prior, but I was still almost surprised by how hard he worked to make that a genuinely wonderful Christmas, New Year's, and holiday season in general for me, organizing things so my family could visit, sweet-talking the charge nurses into bending the occasional rule, and simply being there, without fail. It's a bit weird, as settings for holiday memories go, but those three weeks meant the world to me... And definitely cured me of any lingering "cold feet" ;)

12 year old, around this time my mom would always wake me and sibling to do the most silly thing around the house. Wipe the wall, scrub the floor, clean the bathroom....I would always throw a fit or run behind my dad to prevent doing anything. It was call Christmas Cleaning lol.
We did it every year until one day she left. Christmas was never the same(i'm holding back tear on the other side) I hold on to that memory ever since and then one day I notice I was doing the same Christmas Cleaning. I would usually stop, smile and daydream of that precious moment

I'd say my favorite holiday memory is visiting the Christmas Markets while living in Germany. Shopping among the locals, enjoying mulled wine, seeing so many wonderful traditional gifts... It just evoked the holiday season in a way I hadn't experienced before.

Every year we would have my whole crazy family over for the holidays. But I would have to say the most memorable to date would have to be Christmas of '89. I spent hours with my son getting the house and yard decorated for the holidays as I enjoy making my extended family feel warm and festive, although I don't typically invite my cousin as he is just a bit more out there than the rest of the family... Come to find out my cousin and his family decided to surprise everyone with a visit, we were all shocked! Everything was going as well as could be expected with that many people around, that is until I received what should have been my Christmas bonus check. You could imagine my surprise to find that instead of the money that had already been spent, I received a year subscription to the Jelly of the Month Club... My cousin, thinking he were doing something noble, decided he would track down my boss on Christmas Eve, kidnap him, and bring him to my house just so I could confront him about stiffing me on my Christmas bonus. So my Christmas Eve was made even more exciting by getting to have the local swat team break down my door and jump into my house through my windows, all thanks to my cousin. Best Christmas ever! But then again, sometimes just a good movie is nice...

When my Sister was living and her kids gave her a surprise birthday party. Her birthday is on December 20th, I was the one who had to keep her from the house and I took her to get her nails done. She was so surprised she started crying. She passed that February, but she still had the nails on, I will never forget that day!

Back in September 1990, my dad had a stroke that left him paralyzed from the neck down. Due to the severity, he was kept in the hospital for a few months. As Christmas approached, my brother, sister and I lost all hope he would make it home for Christmas. Christmas Eve, we went to bed not nearly as excited as most children. When morning came, we walked downstairs, turned the corner into the living room, and there, in front of the tree, was our dad in his wheelchair with a smile on his face and tears in his eyes! My mom had pulled off a Christmas miracle and brought him home on Christmas Eve! I don't remember anything else I got that Christmas and frankly, didn't care. My dad was home and that made it my best memory ever.

The year I received a holster and gun was my best Christmas, as a child. I am one of seven children. I have 2 brothers and 4 sisters. We received one gift from Santa on Christmas. He always brought me a doll. I was a tomboy, and did not play with dolls. I was always disappointed, but my brother would share his toy with me. We would visit our grandparents and Santa would come while we were gone. One year it was raining really hard, so we came home earlier than usual. Santa hadn’T come. My older siblings said we had scared him off, and he probably wouldn’T come back. Upset, we ran out on the porch to look for him, and there were our holsters. We were two very happy kids.

Every Christmas Eve for as long as I can remember was spent with my dad and his family. They always ate strange foods like tongue and pickled pigs feet. I always thought it was strange but the laughter in the room was always deafening. The adults were always having a good time. I was the first grandchild so didn't have a lot of people to play with but would sit and listen to the raucous laughter. As I got older, I was so happy to join in on the fun conversations. Christmas Day was always spent with my mom and her family. Lots of cousins, lots of cookies, lots of fun! We always played games after eating amazing food and opening presents. My family is the best!!!!

Favorite holiday is Thanksgiving and Christmas eve. Thanksgiving cause I get to spend time with love ones that i'm thankful for having. All the different food cooked together and the stories and games we play. Christmas back in the Philippines is the best memory I had when I was younger. A memory where carolers comes to our house to Carol and we used to see kids with there parents singing with there hand made instruments like a bucket as a drum, bottle caps as a tambourine. Of course other instruments. Then at the end of the night we all gather by the Christmas tree and wait for one auntie to pass each gifts to us.

Every Christmas Eve growing up my family & Relatives would all be celebrating at my grandparents with great food, music, laughter and presents of course. But the highlight was always when the firetruck would come to the house, lights flashing & Siren going and Santa would get off the back of the truck and come inside the house. He'd visit with us, have some treats and give each child a present as we sat on his lap. Somehow Santa always gave me the present I really wanted that year.

My favorite Christmas memory is reading homemade poems that poke good-natured fun at each other, a tradition my grandparents started. It's a lot of work before Christmas, but worth it for the laughs. Just being with the extended family, all 23 of us, is the best.

Every Chanukah we would have a wonderful family meal and we always had latkahs! We would sing lighthearted, beautiful songs and play card games and dreidle. Then we would have gift time. We would eat wonderful chocolatey gelt and light the menorah. It was a time of joy and family which made great memories for me and now for my children. And of course we did this every night for eight nights!

My favorite holiday memory would be from when I was a kid. Every year, there was a huge Thanksgiving parade in our home city. At the end of the parade there was of course, Santa, on a firetruck. He would rude the firetruck to town hall, then climb the ladder into townhall and we would be able to go and greet him. I always cried whenever I got too close to him. Years passed. Come to find out it was my PopPop all along. From that day on, I thought it was so cool that my PopPop worked with Santa.God rest his soul, he passed 10yrs ago from Lukemia which was a result of the Vietnam War, Agent Orange. I miss being a kid back in the late 80's, early 90's. Most of all I miss being able to spend his favorite time of year with him.

We always gather our chosen family on Christmas eve and exchange gifts, have great food and talk about the past year and our plans/Hopes for the coming year. I left home when I was pretty young, so these chosen family are just important at this time of year as my blood family, so I love spending time with them eating, drinking eggnog and basking in the warmth of our shared tradition.

When I was young, we set up a christmas tree and placed a plate of cookies with milk and a carrot for the reindeers to wait for santa on christmas eve every year. Santa rarely came. One morning we woke up to a handwritten letter and a donald duck stocking with candy and disney mugs. We also woke up to a bitten carrot and suspected that Santa had time for us. Later we learned that my parents left the letter and the gift after seeing years of disappointment in our faces. We also learned that the carrot was bitten by our dog!

My favorite memories of Christmas are my aunt and uncle spoiling my brother and me with the kind of gifts that kids wanted to see under their tree. My aunt in particular really went out of her way to make sure Christmas was a special holiday for all of us with the works: 7 foot real tree, decorated to the nines, walls lined with more decorations and stockings, home made cookies and treats, a deep seated sense of love, warmth and holiday spirit. My parents did not really celebrate Christmas since they themselves did not grow up doing so, so my aunt stepped in big time as the surrogate Santa and made sure the Christmas spirit was felt by my brother and me at least.

I have so many, but one of my favorites is when I never thought that I would get a 12 string custom Alvarez guitar...It was way too expensive for a single Mom working 2 jobs, as which we had spaghetti for Thanksgiving, and chicken for Christmas that year...I woke up with the surprise of my life and there was the guitar...Now, 40 years later, I still have that guitar, in excellent condition with the original case, I still play it, my son plays it and later in life...Found out that my Mom went and got a loan to get that guitar for me...As she is going into her 80s...I would give all these gifts to her...Let her feel how overwhelmed as I was when I was a teen...

My favorite memory of Christmas when I was a little girl was going to this place called la salette shrine. It was a big church or something but the decorated the whole grounds with lights and decorations. I mean there was so many lights! They even have a little gift shop and I remember always getting a hot cocoa because it was so cold. Also decorating the tree was a big thing my mom would put on Xmas music and make hot chocolate which she would put a candy cane in with whipped cream! Then my sister, brother and I took turn a putting up ornaments on the tree. We always had a few ones that were just ours! I'm pretty sure after we went to bed my mom stayed up and reorganized the ornaments lol!

My favourite memory is putting up the Christmas tree and decorations with everyone in the family,, with a Christmas movie "The Enchanted Christmas" with Beauty and and Beast playing in the background - every year. Nowadays we are too old to put up a tree and decorations, and my older siblings have also moved out of the house, so they are nice childhood memories to reminisce.

My favorite holiday memory was many years ago when my son was only 2years old. I had spent Christmas Eve wrapping so many presents for the family I was worn out and went to bed late. My son got up extra early, climbed out of his crib and had Christmas all by himself. I found him In his little blue night gown with lifesavers and playdough all stuck in his hair. Wrapping paper everywhere and every toy opened. All the pieces to the battleship games and legos, it was a mess but all I could do was laugh. He had Christmas by him self and had a grand time doing it.

We were On the way home from my Grandma and Grandpa's house on Christmas eve. It was the the early 70's
So I guess I must oh been bout
8 or 9 I woke up just in time to here the radio announcer say that a ufo had been spotted in the sky. I layed there half asleep and for half a second I thought we were being invaded on Christmas, then I realized of course he meant Santa 🎅 And his sleigh of Reindeer. I went back to sleep and my Dad must have carried me in the house cause, I woke up in my bed on Christmas morning, safe and sound. Thanks my favorite family memory of Christmas.

It's hard to come up with just one, I have so many great Christmas memories. I love spending time with my whole family, playing board games, laughing and having fun.

My favorite holiday memory was when my uncle got to meet his son for the first time on Christmas Eve. His son's mother kept his child from him for 16 years and even went as far as to say his child was a girl. My sister and I found out that in fact it was a boy and we met him and were surprised that he looked exactly like my uncle. On Christmas Eve we invited him over to our house and they got to meet for the first time.

My favorite holiday memory is being a child when my siblings and I were still being raised in a two parent home. We cleaned, rearranged and decorated the house together every year. The night of christmas eve we got to open one gift which was matching family pajamas. After that we had family night playing board and/Or card games while listening to christmas music. Christmas morning we woke our parents who set up the recorder and captured our memories on camera. Since then the recording were lost in a house fire years ago, my siblings and I have all grown up and moved to different places and my dad has passed away. Christmas time is extremely hard now and would be nice to be able to send them things that remind then of these kind of time. Thanks so much for this chance TopCashback

My favorite memory of holidays in general are in my childhood, when my siblings and I would be too excited to fall asleep and waking up in our comfy pajamas, ready to open presents. The joy of being a child and just enjoying the moment.

My favorite holiday memory is of going to my Grandma and Grandpa's and looking through the Christmas tree for the McDonald's gift cards they got for all of the Grand kids. How I miss my Grandma and my daddy. Christmas is not the same without them but they are in Heaven together making Grandma's famous Christmas cookies and lasagna.

My siblings and I are Spread out all over so we hardly ever get to all be together. 2 years ago at Christmas my mom flew us all to her house and we had such a great time. All the cousins got to see each other and have a good time getting to know one another. We had a big dinner and just enjoyed being in one another’S presence.

My favorite Christmas memory is waking up Christmas morning and finding our stockings full on the couch In “Our spot” And us kids sitting by them waiting for our parents to wake up, after we would eat sos (gravy on biscuits) that my grandpa would make. Now that he passed away we make it in honor of him.

My favorite Christmas memory is all of the years my parents and I go to my mamaw (i call her Ni-Ni) and papaws house on Christmas Eves. My great uncles and aunts, All of my 1st, 2nd and 3rd cousins. Friends of the family would be there. There would be so many people that you literally couldn't hear your self think. My mom and Nini would be in the kitchen fixing the rest of our dinner. We always had finger foods. My uncle Ronnie in the middle room going through all of the other gifts that weren't yet wrapped. My papaw yelling at nini "Faye, whens supper gonna be done, we're starvin to death" him telling his random dirty jokes and telling the kids to "get out of them presents" and go outside, nini yelling at my uncle ronnie to get out of the presents. Them getting into a little spat. Later everything would be fine and dandy, and after we ate, My uncle would hand out gifts to people and they take them home. But our tradition is we would all open one gift a piece, and my nini and I would always get each other a "special gift" and thats the ones we opened. We still do this today and thats our moment.. But, I would give just about anything to go back to that! It was every year. Thankfully my nini is still with us, but unfortunately my papaw and uncle are not and Christmas just isn't the same. My family has been making new memories since, but the old ones will last a life time.. And I know one year I will look back on the newer memories and feel the same way.

Merry Christmas! Christmas mornings are so special with my grand kids! Last year my husband was not able to join us as he was placed in nursing care the July prior for progressive Lewy Body Dementia. We missed him so much! My son decided we would all go to his home very early and he made his dad's specialty - fried potatoes and scrambled eggs. My daughter-in-law made her special pancakes and my daughter brought some sweet treats for sharing. I have 3 beautiful grand kids, the youngest 2 who don't remember their PopPop before his illness and my 9 year old grand girl who goes to visits with me every chance she gets. The Joys and Blessings of Christmas are ours every day through the love of our family for each other.

My favorite holiday memory was so many years ago, I was still sitting at the kid's table. It was the last year I can really remember having the entire family at my grandmother's and everyone was always trying to find fun ways to make everyone laugh when we open gifts. That year my Uncle (rest his soul) had used duct tape to "wrap" a ring up for my Aunt (his sister) she spent hours opening it but she had to get through the 12 boxes that were 10 times too big for a ring first... It was great :)

My favorite holiday memory was when I was a child with my grandparents and my entire family was all together and life was simpler. There were no cell phones or video games to distract everyone. We would all sit around and take turns opening our gifts and enjoy everyone's company and talk to each other.

My favorite Memory was always Christmas eve growing up, getting together with all my Aunts, Uncles, Cousins at my Grandma's house to open gifts. This time of year I really miss being a kid, my Grandma was the glue that held our family together, she passed away in October 2001, so 2000 was the last year we had our big family Christmas, so unfortunately none of my kids got to experience it. I try to keep some of her Christmas traditions going, like getting my kids involved in helping with all the Christmas baking.

My favorite holiday memories are when I visit my parents for Christmas. We're a low key family and usually we'll eat hot pot or some special Chinese meal that is too complicated to eat on an average day. Now i'll also cook some fun desserts. One of the best years, we had Peking duck, chocolate babka, and homemade marshamallows.

We didn't have a lot of money growing up. So it was an amazing Christmas the year I got the My Little Pony Castle. I truly believed in Santa Claus. I still don't know how my parents managed to swing that gift for me. And I still have it.
