She has worked in the optical industry for over 25 years, and saw this as a growing niche in the industry. She is an aspiring business woman, and has been published in several trade journals as an expert in the field of sports eyewear and sunglasses.
A Sight for Sport Eyes has been in operation since September 1996. It was founded to educate the consumer about the growing risk of eye injuries and the permanence of their damage. Sports eyewear is specialty niche the optical market, as more and more people are taking the necessary precautions to protect their eyes. Shannen has always loved and participated in many sports, and saw this a perfect opportunity to help the public learn more about these products.
