Person with Labubu bag charm

In case you haven't heard, the Labubu doll is the new viral obsession. The furry collectibles come as bag charms, plush toys and designer figurines, and even have outfits that you can mix and match.

The small monsters are somewhat cute but also borderline creepy. With pointed ears and serrated teeth displaying a mischievous, toothy grin, they look like a cross between the creatures from "Where the Wild Things Are" and the Cheshire Cat. And much like the Beanie Babies craze of the 90s or the more recent Sonny Angel figurines, they're everywhere from NBA player Dylan Brooks' belt loop to Dua Lipa's handbag.

You can find rare and new Labubu releases at the Chinese toy company Pop Mart—including the coveted Blind Boxes, where the figure remains a mystery until opened—although the collectibles usually sell out within seconds. Retailing for around $30, Labubus are reselling for hundreds of dollars due to limited supply.

While we don't offer Cash Back at Pop Mart, some of our partner online retailers like KICKS CREW and StockX are reselling Labubu plushies, bag charms, Blind Boxes and more at various prices. So if you're planning to drop some money on a Labubu doll sometime soon, you might as well earn Cash Back on your purchase. Read on to learn more about what inspired the mini monsters and where you can skip the long lines at the store and buy Labubu collections through TopCashback.

The story behind Labubu and The Monsters

Created by artist Kasing Lung, Labubu began as a storybook character from an illustrated book series. Born in Hong Kong, Lung and his family moved to the Netherlands when he was seven years old. Growing up, he became interested in Nordic folklore and mythology. This eventually is what inspired him to create his picture books "The Monsters" featuring a group of female elves named Labubu, Tycoco, Zimomo and Spooky.

Lung launched a toy series of Labubu monsters after creating the books. However, the toys didn't become a worldwide fad until Lung partnered with Pop Mart, where they ended up breaking a sales record.

While Labubu may look evil at first glance, those familiar with the books know otherwise. Described on the Pop Mart website as "kind-hearted," the monsters are said to have good intentions "despite a "mischievous look." However, that's for you to decide.

Where to shop for Labubus and other Pop Mart products

AliExpress has an official Pop Mart store on its site; however, it's not that easy to find Labubu in stock on its site. The best you can do is follow the Pop Mart store through your AliExpress account to receive updates about new arrivals and promotions. It's also a good idea to regularly check the website yourself just in case something pops up.

Beyond its Pop Mart store, AliExpress is a good place to find adorable clothing and accessories for Labubu dolls—just in case you want to enter yours in the next fashion show.

Other stores to check out

In addition to the retailers mentioned above, Urban Outfitters has been known to stock Labubu, so you can also try your luck there. We’ve also seen them for resale on SHEIN, but recommend checking the customer reviews before purchasing to make sure the item is actually a Pop Mart product.

How to tell if a Labubu is real

As you may know, there are a lot of fake Labubu products out there. But there are a few ways you can check to see if it's a knockoff or the real deal.

Official Labubu dolls come in a box with a QR code that you can scan. If it's legit, you'll be directed to the Pop Mart website. The Labubu itself should also have an identity tag. Other details to check include counting the number of teeth (there should be nine in total) as well as for a Pop Mart logo on the left foot.

Enjoy your Cash Back savings

Let's face it—if you're in the market to grow your Labubu collection, you should be prepared to spend a good penny. So be sure to check out our retailers that currently have the Labubu collectible toys in stock so that you can reward yourself with some Cash Back on your purchase.

tnmillerJuly 29 2025, 09:14 Great info. Wish I would've seen this before but when I searched the TopCashback site a couple weeks ago, there were no results because I guess blog posts do not come up in search. Thanks; will know for next time.
