KTTC-TV hosted Rebecca to discuss the results of a recent survey she conducted on, which revealed that 71% of Americans have changed their budget due to inflation. She also suggested some key ways to save ahead of the holidays, like planning your expenses in advance and shopping online through a cash back site.

Halloween has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean you can’t start saving for next year! While appearing on WALA-TV, Rebecca advised viewers to wait to buy new Halloween items until right before the holiday or right after.

“Stores like Michaels, Target, Home Depot, Kohl’s [and] so many more clear out their Halloween merchandise to make way for winter holiday season merchandise. So, you can find discounts from 50-70% off,” she said.

Don’t let inflation put a damper on your Thanksgiving activities. Rebecca recommends signing up for loyalty programs to access exclusive promotions. “For example, the store may offer a free turkey when you spend a certain amount of money,” she told Yahoo! Finance.

Also, think about shopping with a credit card that offers the most rewards. “If you have a credit card that earns a high percentage of cash back on gas and groceries, be sure to use that card for those items,” Rebecca added.
