Direct Relief - Ukraine crisis

Direct Relief has supported hospitals in Ukraine for years before the invasion. Since 2021, the organization has shipped over $27 million in medical aid to Ukraine. The most recent cache of assistance arrived a week before the invasion. It contained $5.4 million worth of cardiovascular drugs requested by a Ukrainian NGO that serves hospitals, ambulance stations and medical centers.

The Trevor Project

Launched in 1998, The Trevor Project is an American non-profit organization that’s geared toward preventing suicide among LGBTQ people ages 13-24. It employs trained crisis counselors who are available around the clock, 365 days a year, across the United States. They can be reached confidentially by phone, text or online chat. And their services are completely free. The Trevor Project’s “TrevorSpace” is another cost-free way for struggling LGBTQ youth to connect and make friends with people who share similar experiences. It’s a moderated online community of over 400,000 members that listens, shows support and gives advice to anyone in need. You can also check out the Resource Center for articles and guides that address many LGBTQ topics, such as mental health, gender identity and sexual orientation.
