What are we looking for?

TopCashback is currently seeking a motivated, hard-working self-starter to lead the Public Relations team with the management of the company’s reputation and garner outstanding, consistent and meaningful press coverage to enhance consumer awareness on all things retail and personal finance.

TopCashback is looking for a competent and proficient public relations professional who is looking to take his or her career to the next level. The ideal candidate should also have some managerial experience (overseeing interns counts), exhibiting leadership flair particularly when it comes to proactivity, mentoring and effortlessly handling multiple deadlines with a go-getter attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

— Create, develop and implement new public relations strategies; oversee public relations strategies from start to finish

— Pitch, secure and monitor favorable press coverage

— Act as liaison to public and handle press inquiries; also serve as company spokesperson when applicable

— Research, plan and manage PR calendar

— Create and maintain media lists

— Enhance and continue to build company reputation and relationships with media and other outlets

— Oversee and respond to timely Help-A-Reporter Out (HARO) newsletters and queries

— Identify public relations opportunities on a reactive and proactive basis

— Compile monthly and quarterly reports on media growth and brand press mention to for internal reporting

— Support broader marketing needs, including customer support messaging and consumer reviews

Requirements and Skills:

— Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field

— 2-3 years public relations experience; agency experience preferred

— Possess a strong understanding of retail, lifestyle and personal finance or an everyday passion for money-saving and consumer empowerment

— Superb communication and writing skills

— A motivated self-starter, able to thrive in a fast-paced teamwork environment

— An outgoing and friendly personality

— Solid mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze survey data and unpick results

— Meticulous attention to detail and a natural sense to prioritize tasks and ability to multitask

— Experience in managing employee(s) a plus

— Working knowledge of Cision and Microsoft Suite
